LEAFY GREENS I
These foods should make up about 75% of the fresh portion of your rabbits diet (about 1 packed cup per 2 lbs of body weight per day)
These foods need to be rotated due to Oxalic Acid content and only one out of three varieties of greens a day should be from these foods.
They are; Parsley, Spinach, Mustard Greens, Beet Greens, Swiss Chard, Radish Tops.
LEAFY GREENS II
Low in Oxalic Acid : Arugula, Carrot Tops, Endive, Escarole, Kale, Red/ Green Lettuce, Romaine, Dandelion Greens, Mint, Basil, Wheatgrass, Cilantro, Bok Choy, Borage Leaves
NON LEAFY VEGETABLES
These should be no more than 15% of the diet (About one tablespoon per two pounds of body weight per day): Carrots, Brocoli, Celery, Bell Peppers, Chinese Pea Pods, Brussel Sprouts, Cabbage, Brocolini, Summer Squash, Zucchini.
These should be no more than 10% of the diet (About one teaspoon per two pounds of body weight per day). Unless otherwise stated it is more nutritious to leave the skin on the fruit. Just wash it well. But if you doubt the source and are worried about chemicals remove the skin.
They are; Apples, Cherries, Plums, Pears, Kiwi, Peaches, Papaya, Mango, Pinapple, Bananas, Melons, Star Fruits, Nectarines, Berries, Apricots.
